The same Ethernet interface does not mean compatible radio links

The company refused the Canopy subscriber module, and next to the catalog there is NanoStation M2 with the usual network connector. Can I buy NSM2, leave the old base and restore the connection? For the two quotations under consideration, no such direct substitution is possible: the coincidence of wired Ethernet does not make the radio parts compatible.

Two different sites.

Ethernet connects a device to a local network of a computer, switch, or router. The radio link connects it to the far side. The correct wire link shows the work of the first section, but does not confirm the registration of the subscriber on the database and the transfer of data between sites.

In our quotation 5250SMBC is listed as a 5.2 GHz Canopy module. NanoStation M2 is in the 2.4 GHz range. These particular radio parts do not form a direct connection to each other. Changing an IP address or subnet does not turn a transmitter of one band into a receiver of another.

If the central node is maintained

To replace only the subscriber, the exact model of the abandoned base and the requirements of the current system are first determined. Then agree on the full code, hardware configuration and software version of the proposed subscriber module. The Canopy designation is also not enough: the family has different configurations.

For such a task, the quotation on 5250SMBC is compared to the requirements of a stored central node. Buying NSM2 just because its network port can be connected with the same type of cable is a basic condition for restoring a radio connection. power supply is also checked separately, even if the connectors are similar in appearance.

If both sides can be replaced

The transition of a separate shoulder to another platform is another work. Consider the agreed devices at both ends, the roles of nodes, network settings, and the exchange required. If a suitable bundle on the NanoStation M2 is selected in the project, it does not automatically become compatible with the remaining Canopy radio base.

In a distributed network, you need to specify who will be affected by the change in the central node. Replacing one subscriber connection and restructuring the entire distribution point have different volumes. Therefore, it is incorrect to compare the price of one module with the price of a finished new line without a list of both sides.

How to formulate an order

Specify what remains in operation: base, other end of the radio bridge, switch, power supply and cables. Separately write down what changes. To restore the existing network, attach full equipment designations; for the new arm, distance, track conditions, necessary applications and allowable breaks. Address information is needed to coordinate the network, not as proof of radio parts compatibility.

Both items are available for request through our cards below. This price refers to a single device; the number of apparatus, power supply, mounting and work are consistent in composition. For delivery to Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk or another city of Russia and Kazakhstan, add the address and quantity. Current availability, condition and final quotation are confirmed before ordering.

  1. Set up a stored base or second party
  2. Harmonize range, platform and configuration
  3. Order the exact composition of the recovery or new shoulder

Questions before ordering

NSM2 We can directly connect with our 5250SMBC on 5,2 GHz?

No: Canopy 5.2 GHz and NanoStation M2 2.4 GHz are compared here. A matching Ethernet port does not eliminate this difference.

Does the same IP address help replace the radio part?

Nope. IP configuring refers to network exchange and does not change the range and capabilities of the radio part.

Is the price of two cards the cost of a bridge?

Nope. This is a quotation for individual devices. Both sides of the line, power supply, affiliation and work are aligned on the task.

Our devices.

These are separate quotations to agree on the composition. They are not declared a mandatory general set. Delivery in Russia and Kazakhstan is calculated at the address; condition, configuration and availability are confirmed before the order.

Initial information on families: Motorola Canopy Subscriber Module (Manufacturer's document on the mirror, description of the family); Ubiquiti official management. The exact configuration of the proposed devices is confirmed separately.

Two parts of the network and two procurement decisions

At the enterprise in Stary Oskol, the existing Canopy subscriber and the new Ethernet platform may be different tasks. The first requires a coordinated replacement in the existing radio network, the second - the choice of both sides of the new channel. When receiving equipment in Belgorod, keep this division on the payroll, indicating central devices, subscribers and applications. The usual network connector does not confirm the compatibility of the radio parts 5250SMBC and NSM2; accessories and performance criteria are agreed for the selected variant, and not for the total number of externally similar modules.
