Outdoor radio bridge
This device works both as a bridge between two points, and as a distributing point for several subscribers. The antenna is built into the body - the external need not be installed, which simplifies installation on the mast or wall.
Power supply goes through the same network cable as the data: one twisted pair reaches the device, the socket is needed only at the bottom. For the mast and roof, it is much easier than running a separate power supply line.
The parameters of this model
The 2.4 GHz band is shared with other wireless networks. Interference, obstacles, antenna alignment and clear line of sight determine the usable link; operation through foliage is not guaranteed.
Built-in antenna with amplification of 11 dBi and two planes of polarization gives the claimed ten-odd kilometers in line of sight. The real range depends on what is between the points and how noisy the ether is.
Measure useful video, internet and file-transfer throughput across the complete link. NSM2 has two 10/100 Ethernet ports; a 150+ Mbps radio figure does not establish that rate for a single wired connection.

How many devices on the bridge?
A point-to-point link requires two compatible devices. A point-to-multipoint network requires a compatible base and a subscriber unit at each remote site.
Will it break through the woods?
Foliage can obstruct and attenuate the signal. Provide the path profile and obstacle details so that link feasibility can be assessed.
Do you need a lightning shield?
Surge protection, grounding and installation details must be agreed for the site. These accessories are not assumed to be included.
