What does an access point in a radio network do?
The access point distributes communication to subscriber modules - this is how a network is built when there is nowhere to pull the wire: between workshops, on a quarry, in a village without optics, between the sites of the enterprise. Bet on a mast or roof, looking into its sector.
One sector covers 60 degrees. To cover the area around the mast as a whole, six points are put - the coverage, frequencies and mutual influence are agreed separately on the project.
The parameters of this model
The 5.2 GHz range is the upper section where there is less interference from home appliances and neighbourhood networks than at 2.4 GHz. But the signal is worse through obstacles: between the point and the subscriber need direct visibility.
Coordination in time with reference to the satellite clock is what this series is taken for on multi-sector masts. The points are transmitted in turn and do not jam each other, the need and method of synchronization are determined by the network scheme and equipment configuration.
Up to two hundred subscriber modules per point - a reserve for the network of the village or a large enterprise. Usable throughput is below the 10 Mbps radio signalling rate and is shared by active subscribers, so the real number of connections is calculated by load, not by limit.
What is specified before ordering
How many dots do you need?
It depends on where and where to look. Write down where the mast is and where the subscribers are - count the sectors.
Do you need direct visibility?
On that range, yes. Forest and development between points sharply reduce the range.
What else will you need?
Mast or bracket, power supply over network cable, lightning protection, subscriber modules. Let's get the kit.
How to order
Describe the task: the distance between the points, how many subscribers. We'll pick it up and send it back.
