Order a specific cable line
5D-FB is the designation of a coaxial cable; in our position, a path with a wave resistance of 50 Ohms is indicated. When purchasing this designation alone is not enough. The manufacturer or agreed configuration, length, operating frequency and required finish design are needed. The cable coil and the finished assembly with connectors are different order options. If you need several lines, each indicates its route and both connections, so that the total length does not turn into a set of uncomfortable segments.
How to count losses without fictitious characteristics
Losses of the direct section are obtained from data on a specific cable at the desired frequency: specific attenuation is multiplied by length. Then take into account the compounds and other elements of the path. For example, if the documentation of the selected product sets 0.20 dB per meter, then the conditional 15 meters will give 3 dB only in the cable. This is an arithmetic example, not the passport value of our 5D-FB. It is not possible to substitute a number from another manufacturer or other frequency into the quotation calculation.

The route is calculated from the antenna port to the equipment port, taking into account input, turns and agreed stock. The requirements for bending, fastening and operating conditions are taken from the documentation of the proposed configuration. Exterior gasket, passage through the wall, and the area inside the cabinet may require different accessories. Do not buy extra meters only for the sake of an indefinite supply: an increase in the line affects both losses and ease of installation. The route plan is useful to attach to the request.
What should remain in the specification
For the finished assembly, write down the types of connectors at both ends, the length and measurement conditions. The name of the connector family does not replace its configuration designation. Compared to the RG-58, it is the actual length and data of specific cables rather than the promise of a single universal winner.
